Touched you

When you asked me to brush you,

I shivered in your hands like an untouched muse.

I saw you and felt a tickle on my heart,

You and I were like December and January,

Together yet a year apart.

I saw you and I felt empty,

Like a vessel lacking you.

Still, before touching your essence

I wanted to touch your soul.
