My Nanna’s Home

In the wilderness, my soul awakens itself,

The mud smells like prosperity has fallen on my feet,

I know my Nanna’s home is heavenly.

The swing in the backyard calls me back,

Stumbling tumbling I wanna shower myself.

With the sweets, my Nanna made for me,

With her wrinkled hands,

still uncovering my queen!

Bowing down in front of her makes me wanna pray,

It’s been a long time since we’ve together spent a day,

It’s been a long time, I want you so I want you to stay.

Kids behind her house, steal fruits from her trees,

She hides from them, in places they could never see,

They dance holding joy in their eyes,

She dances seeing their happiness!

I’ve never seen somebody kinder than her,

My Nanna possesses heaven in her soul and her dwelling,

I know, I know my Nanna’s home is heavenly!
