Her survival

He left her with his family, thinking they’ll keep her safe,

she was molested by his father the other day.

Screaming, whimpering and devastated

she was 18 when she lost everything.

Her dad used to say I’ll protect you until I find the one,

who’ll hold you like a rose, your petals will be his heaven?

Looking at the garden all lifeless, she was condoning the unfairness.

Her eyes were looking for him to come back,

as the only survival for her was his existence.

He appeared with a red flag wrapped around his body,

he was dead leaving his lover in agony.
